Meghna is the founder and creative behind the design studio, Nocturnal Paper. Currently based in Dubai, she offers services in branding & creative direction, art direction and copywriting.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Meghna has worked in the creative industry for well over a decade. After graduating from Central Saint Martins (London) in 2011, she has had the opportunity to work across a diverse spectrum as a creative, from the world of high fashion at Alexander McQueen and Monster Energy in London to street style at HYPEBEAST in Hong Kong. Meghna has worked on branding and design work for clients such as Ford Motors, Cathay Pacific and Huawei. Since then, Meghna has added an MA in marketing communications to bridge a better understanding of design and business.

Universal Studios

Meghna has built unique relationships through her design studio. She was approached by female owned, Big Honcho Media (New York) to find ways to connect consumers using design, copywriting and print for the release of Pitch Perfect 3. Her attention to detail is what brought this campaign full circle which resulted creating products, visuals and content for marketing and event activations.

 

Topshop

A little appreciation and gratitude go a long way... This is the essence of Meghna’s gifting line. She believes in how rewarding giving can be which resulted in big improvements in marketing and sales results for Topshop. The project went from creating a holiday illustration to an international campaign for the holidays and Chinese New Year. Meghna worked closely with the Topshop marketing team to create visuals, content and designs for in-store and social activations. The campaign brought a huge rise in sales which required over 1000s of additional product print runs.

 

Lane Crawford

Aside from being in-house with the Communications team at Lane Crawford in Hong Kong. Meghna worked on various illustrative projects for the e-commerce and online editorial team. From creating illustrated GIFs for eyebrow filling to holiday illustrations for Native Union’s launch on the platform, Meghna used her attention to detail to create a unique visual experience to engage both her clients and their customers.

She founded her personal design studio in 2016 featuring a stationery line of quirky illustrations and puns and tongue and cheek copywriting. Nocturnal Paper is sold in over 500+ stores worldwide and has created exclusive gifting and merchandise for a variety of retailers and brands such as Urban Outfitters, Universal Studios, ASOS, Selfridges, Cravings by Chrissy Teigen, Topshop, Revolve, Shopbop, Lane Crawford, BÉIS, Lululemon, Bustle & many more.

Meghna believes we have to live life in art, she has a way of making people feel through design and is the starting point in ideation. She has a natural eye for aesthetics and a crazy attention to detail with various levels of nuances to create something unique.
